For Tom Mooney, if you tell him he can’t do it, you better get ready, because he’s going to prove you wrong. Whether he is dominating the platform as a Special Olympics USA Games Gold Medalist, making pottery, or commanding the stage during acting, Tom brings heart and determination to what he does, which positively impacts those around him.
Breaking Barriers and Pride
A Life of Resilience
Tommy doesn't follow the word "impossible." After a dedicated journey of losing 70 pounds to reach his peak health, he represented New York at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando. He did more than just compete. He dominated.
Tommy brought home three Gold Medals in powerlifting and a Silver Medal for his overall performance, and also inspired other individuals to believe in themselves.

Broken Mold Pottery: Tommy creates his own pottery at the Broken Mold Pottery Studio. He doesn't just make art for himself; he uses his creations to help raise money and support his peers.
The Best Job of All: Despite his gold medals and acting credits, Tommy’s favorite thing to do is hang out with his two nephews, Jack and Finn. He loves them more than life itself, showing that beneath his "never quit" grit is a heart of pure loyalty.
